Watch Idina at the National Memorial Day Concert - May 25

Tune in to watch Idina perform and pay tribute to the Armed Forces of America at the National Memorial Day Concert Sunday, May 25 on PBS

If you're lucky enough to be in the D.C. Area, the concert will be held on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., is open to the public, and it is free. No tickets are necessary.

Taking the Metro to the concert site is strongly advised due to traffic volume and street closings put in place for the event. The nearest stations are Capitol South, Federal Center SW (Orange/Blue line) and Union Station (Red line).

Memorial Day Concert

I enjoyed the whole show and Idina's dress was gorgeous. I know this holiday is especially hard for many families especially for my grandmother. My daughter and I watched both shows last night. I didn't know they were going to show it again and happened to catch it just as Idina was about to sing around 12:30 am EST. Anyone who missed it check your local listings and maybe they will show it again. I know here in Atlanta we have two PBS stations. Great job again Idina and God Bless America!!

wow. thats was REALLY good.

that performance was so good. she did wonderful at everything. she was so cute when they like switched songs in between the first and second and she had her hands up. ah it was too cute. and that dress looked SO PRETTY on her. she looked massively skiny. and she hit all her notes without a problem. and when she sang Where Do I Begin and like the crowd was all nodding there heads and like shes good. wow. it was pretty ammazing. She was probably the best one up there. i recorded it and i have already watched it twice. good job idina. that was a truly amazing performance.

i was at my uncle's house nad completely forgot to DVR the concert! so i am taping the one airing at midnight, im gonna try to stay up and watch it though, wish me luck!!!!!!!!!

ATTENTION IF YOU MISSED IDINA'S PERFORMANCE

I missed idina's performance last night at the memorial day concert. this morning I found this on youtube.....enjoy!!!! http://youtube.com/watch?v=n5BPZcsOags my one complaint is that the creator of the vid said that he/she "tweaked the sound a little bit" which....knowing idina.....was totally uncalled for. but, oh well, i was thankful anyway!!!!! Idina...you just blew me away!!! you sounded amazing as always!!!! "where do i begin" made me cry!!!!! you are just a marvelous person!!!!

Oh BTW thank you for throwing that candy to me in the parade today! We wern't supposed to move, we were supposed to stay in parade rest. I should have let that candy hit me but I had to catch it. I just had to. I needed that candy LOL! When you are marching you don't get to run out in the road and grab the candy. I just realized that, that was the best part of the whole thing:(
That is what I hate about parades, when you are playing an instrument you have to stay looking forward and have perfect posture. I kept on stepping on these things and they popped and and when they did I jumped. I found out my brother was throwing them out in front of me!

SUPERB JOB IDINA!!!

So I FORCED my parents to watch... But Idina, you were beautiful!!!! Her hair was just glamourous!!! Very timeless and elegant. I started to scream when she began singing to the point my mom couldn't hear her. But when she did Where Do I Begin, I just melted!!! Towards the end of it, it looked like she was about to cry at one point. But it was BEAUTIFUL!!!! You go, Idina!!!!

check the pbs website they'll ask you for your zip code and they'll tell you which channel is pbs in your area mine is KLRU thats in texas.

Dress Rehearsal

I went to the dress rehearsal tonight, and she was absolutly FANTASTIC, i couldnt take my eyes off the stage, it was AMAZING!!!!

Memorial Day in DC!!

I attended the dress rehearsal tonight (Saturday) -- Idina sang 3 songs in the first half, then sang together with Sarah Brightman, Gladys Knight, John Schneider and others at the closing. Well done! I'm sure it'll be even better tomorrow with a bigger audience for the live show.

Taye Diggs (HOT!) was grooving along in the audience during her set. After the show was over, she graciously took a few minutes to meet with some fans who had gathered. Truly a lovely person.

So I know that you have said in the past that you were questioning whether not being really religious would mess up a kid and I can truthfully say....NO WAY! My mom is Jewish and my dad is catholic. We celebrate the holidays: Christmas, Hanukkah, Passover, Easter, Rosh Hashana,etc. But we don't ever go to church or synogouge unless it's like for soemone else. I TURNED OUT JUST FINE!!
