Idina Reunites with Adam Sandler in New Film

Adam Sandler is reuniting with Uncut Gems costar Idina Menzel for a film adaptation of Fiona Rosenbloom’s coming-of-age novel, You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah!

Sandler will star in and produce the coming-of-age Netflix film, which follows a young girl, Stacy Friedman, as she prepares for one of the most important events of her life: her bat mitzvah. But her plans unravel when she catches her BFF kissing her crush, Andy Goldfarb.

Sandler and Menzel, who played spouses in Uncut Gems, will be joined by Sarah Sherman, Luis Guzmán, Ido Mosseri, Samantha Lorraine, Dylan Hoffman, Dean Scott Vazquez, Miya Cech, Ivory Baker, Dylan Dash, Millie Thorpe, and Zaara Kuttemperoor. Sandler’s entire family, comprised of his wife Jackie and their daughters Sadie and Sunny, will also feature in the comedy.

Check out the new trailer for the upcoming movie-musical version of Cinderella! Coming to Amazon Prime Video on September 3, the film stars Camila Cabello as the titular character, Idina as her Stepmother, and Billy Porter as the Fairy Godmother (better known as Fab G).

“Disenchanted” Coming to Disney+ in 2022

Walt Disney Animation Studios has announced that Disenchanted, the long-awaited sequel to Enchanted (2007), will stream on Disney+ in 2022!

Idina will be returning for the sequel along with original costars Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, and James Marden. Additional casting includes Maya Rudolph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jayma Mays, Kolton Stewart, Oscar Nuñez, and Gabby Baldacchino.

Idina to Star in ‘Beaches’ Remake

Idina will star in the upcoming remake of the beloved classic film, originally starring Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey, Beaches.

She will take on the role of CC Bloom (Bette Midler’s part), and cover its iconic songs “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “The Glory of Love.” The new version will also feature additional songs performed by Idina.

The film will premiere on the Lifetime television network in 2017!
